Sheet to Piano is a small personal project. We collect as little as possible.

Your uploads and videos

The pages you upload, and the videos, MIDI and MusicXML made from them, are stored on our server only so you can watch and download them. They are deleted automatically after 3 days. They are not shown to other visitors, shared with anyone, or used for anything else. To make videos faster, the notes on a page may be read on the site owner's own computer, which deletes its copy as soon as it has sent the notes back. Only upload music you have the right to use.

Tokens and requests

Your token is saved in your own browser so you don't have to type it again. On the server we keep each token, the name it was given, and how many videos it has made.

If you ask for a token, we keep the name and note you write. To stop abuse we also keep a scrambled code made from your internet address; the address itself is not stored with your request. Answered requests are deleted after 30 days.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server keeps short technical logs (internet address, time, page requested) to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies, tracking and ads

The site has no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies. The only cookie is a login cookie for the site owner's admin page. If this ever changes, this page will be updated first.

Outside services

The page loads a sheet-music viewer from the jsDelivr network (cdn.jsdelivr.net), which sees your internet address like any website you visit.
